About Me

I am Karen Moore and I am a qualified counsellor working in private practice in Warrington.

imageI chose to go into counselling as I had spent years struggling with the outcome of my childhood and the effect it had on my relationships in my adult life. I committed to counselling, and felt that having come through it, I wanted to help others find inner peace.
Now I am in a better place, I understand how isolated and alone I felt and thought that no-one else could feel the pain that I did – I was damaged. I knew I wanted to visit the dark places, but I didn’t want to do it on my own and found that the counsellor I saw was as committed to my need to find a better place as I was. She didn’t judge me, but gave me a safe place to speak in confidence and at my own pace. With this knowledge, I want to be able to help others who want to help themselves.

I have an interest in working with people who want to heal after sexual abuse or rape. I understand that you may feel it is too challenging, but I know that it is possible to rebuild your life again. In this difficult work, I will be there, and will support you whilst you look at the impact the sexual abuse has had on your life.

What has happened historically can impact on your relationships in the here and now. By committing to therapy with me, we will work with your past to help with your future and change your life script.
